From the Piecework Magazine guidelines:

PieceWork is a quarterly magazine with high visual impact focusing on the historical aspects of needlework around the world. PieceWork readers are passionate about needlework; they value the role needlework has played, and plays, in the ongoing human story. Well-researched feature stories explore the traditional makers of needlework, including knitting, needlepoint, embroidery, cross-stitch, quilting, crocheting, beadwork, tatting, lacemaking, and surface design. PieceWork readers want to know the origin of the various needlework techniques.

Readers also want to know how a technique was done. Each issue includes in-depth information on various techniques, including step-by-step how-to instructions to replicate the technique.

PieceWork is published four times a year in January, April, July, and October. See our website for submission deadlines and due dates for all material.
