Finding the enthusiasm

Writing isn't just a question of sitting down and getting on with it - it requires dedication, we've all been there - writer's block or just not knowing how to start, but, one of the most crucial elements is the chosen subject. Don't just write about any subject - choose one that you have a real passion for. Writing about something with enthusiasm makes the world of difference; it is a wonderful thing to be able to write a book so, it shouldn't feel like a chore. Look back over the books that you have read over the years and determine your genre. From experience, it makes planning and writing the novel so much more fun.
