Tuscany Prize for Catholic Fiction

Event Details

  • The Tuscany Prize for Catholic Fiction is a literary prize to promote writers and great undiscovered stories of Catholic fiction. What is Catholic fiction? Stories infused with the presence of God and faith -- subtly, symbolically or deliberately.

Think of Flannery O'Connor, Graham Greene, J.R.R. Tolkien and G.K. Chesterson and many others whose writings reflected the thoughts of the great writer Gerard Manley Hopkins: "The world is charged with the grandeur of God."

The Tuscany Prize Committee is calling for manuscripts in three categories: Short Story, Novella, and Novel.

Nine prizes will be awarded, from $50 to $1,000. Tuscany Press also anticipates offering publishing contracts to those writers whose manuscripts are considered worthy.

    Deadline: September 30, 2012
